MY STORY

About Me

I am a spiritual midwife for multidimensional growth, refinement and rebirth. I love helping people to birth themselves spiritually through purification and movement, mentally through concepts and writing as well as physically through the sacred rite of childbirth. My journey as a healer stretches back through the nurses, farmers and wisdom keepers of my bloodline.

Where I Have Been
I have my B.A. from Pomona College in Gender & Women’s Studies. I also received my womb wellness, holistic health practitioner and womb yoga instructor training from the Queen Afua Wellness Institute. For several years I worked alongside renowned writer and master healer Queen Afua as a program director, and wellness practitioner.

In this time I also enjoyed working as a developmental and copy editor on several books in the self-help genres. My credits include Planet Heal, Circle of Wellness and Man Heal Thyself. Over the years I brought together my varied skills as an idea doula and thought partner for small businesses and non-profits in the areas of education, wellness, and social impact.
Passion For Birth

I believe I was divinely led to midwifery and to have a homebirth of my own. This led to my training as a full spectrum doula (DONA | ASDS) as well as childbirth educator (ICEA). For two years I served as a volunteer birth assistant for the TLC Mamas™ birth collective, helping faith-based and indigenous communities reclaim their rights and ancestral practices through childbirth.

I am currently studying to become a Certified Professional Midwife as a Master’s student at Bastyr University.
